For International Women’s Day, I was inspired to create a homage to these two strong women in my life. After traveling to China for the first time in the Fall of 2017, I came back incredibly reflective about the history of my mother’s side of the family. With this trip being the first introduction to my Great Aunt, bridged in conversation via my mother, I bonded so deeply with my Great Aunt as someone I felt like I had known for a long, long time. And with my mother, our relationship has grown and matured in blossoming new ways.
