Guiding Stars
Guiding Stars is a 2020 digital-only recognition program that celebrates the real stars of Google Maps, Local Guides, to help close out the year with the Local Guides community.
As the world changed, the 50 honored Local Guides went above and beyond; from delivering meals to the homeless to leading global efforts that improved the Map to being catalysts for change in their local communities.
The interlocking shapes and colors of the Guiding Stars brand derive from Google Maps. The focus was to use secondary and tertiary brand colors to put the honorees at the forefront with subtle reference to Google Maps.
